Wow, that clue from Portal is brilliantly obscure. I love it. It really isn't going to be helpful to anyone who hasn't played the game. It took me quite a while to realize that you weren't in fact heading in a different direction from what I had assumed from the original clue. As usual, I was just about to admit defeat when it all clicked together. I was just about to point out the connection to the puzzle number when I realized you had already done that. Perhaps we can all go enjoy a martini now while we wait for Portal 2 to finally be released.
I have subsequently been informed that the cake is a popular meme and therefore that clue may be more recognizable than I had realized. Still quite good, though. The clue, that is, not the cake. Which is of course a lie.
